Existed one old house
The house that facilitated my rise in the 'hood
It was built on wood
But it made me feel good
If only I can rewind the clock, I would
That old house brought me happiness in day light
It led me home in the night
The house that made everything bright
Oh it was always a great site
The old house
Gave me joy in the massive
It taught me to be positive
The old house sang me great songs on the festive
It gave me in this life journey a motive
The house that created in me a heart to forgive
The house that never needed a dime to build
But true principles of love and trust
A house whose stairs were easy to climb
A house that believed in time
It put a smile on my face during bedtime
A house that existed long time ago
That old house that showed me care
It's a house I will never live to compare
Everyone who lived there sang in the house's happiest choir
It gave me a sense of belonging
Days have gone by
And the old house is all empty
Its standing all alone
The old have left us
As children of the old house
We have all grown
We moved away
Have families of our own
It's just the memories of the old house that we will hold dear
To share with our children and the other generations there of
Our lives are built on the old house
I will forever love and miss the old house
